Ek naya kadam insaniyat ki taraf! Last month, 2nd December 2025 ko Al-Shifa
Charitable Trust ke naye clinic ka ifte-tah (inauguration) ba-khushi mukammal hua.
Is mauke par Abu Aasim Azmi Sir (MLA) ne apne hathon se ribbon cutting ki
aur hamari puri team ki hausla afzai ki. Yeh clinic un gareeb zaroorat-mandon ke liye umeed
ki kiran hai jo mehenga ilaj afford nahi kar sakte. Humara maqsad wahi hai: Dignity
ke saath behtareen medical care.
Established on 16/12/2012, Al-Shifa Trust was inaugurated by the honorable Abu Aasim Azmi Sir. The trust is led by a dedicated team:
Our inspiration comes from Mr. Abdul Mutallib Bhai, renowned for providing medical treatment at just Rs. 10/-. Recognizing that Antop Hill lacked medical support, we registered Al-Shifa Trust to provide daily medicine for only Rs. 10/-. We also facilitate Blood Tests and Sonography at highly subsidized rates to ensure healthcare is accessible to all.
On 20th March 2020, as the nationwide lockdown began, Al-Shifa Trust remained a beacon of hope. While
others closed, our team stood firm. When questioned by the authorities, we asked: "If clinics
close, how will those with common illnesses receive care?"
With police support, we continued serving, helping thousands of migrant workers with medical
certificates and providing three doses of medicine for just Rs. 20/-.whereas others charge up to Rs. 100
Our dedicated healthcare workers
proved that they, too, fight on the frontlines for our nation.
Today, our focus has expanded to provide free medical support for cancer patients. With the rapid increase in cases and a shortage of specialized hospitals, we hold a vision to establish Cancer Patient Rest Shelters across India to support those traveling for treatment.

Medical camp conducted under the expert guidance of Dr. Nadir Shah, Dean of the Orthopaedics Department, JJ Hospital.
Date: 3rd January 2026
Education and women's empowerment are the pillars of a strong society. On 3rd January
2026, Al-Shifa Charitable Trust celebrated the birth anniversary of the legendary
educator Savitribai Phule.
We organized a community gathering to honor her legacy, emphasizing our commitment to supporting
the education of daughters from every family. The event brought together local women and trust
members to discuss the path forward for community development through knowledge.
Our mission to save lives and provide dignity to cancer patients is extensive and costly. We cannot achieve this alone. We humbly request our national hidden gems and secret benefactors to join us in this life-saving initiative.
Together, we can protect lives and provide hope to every patient.

Mother & Inspiration
My mother, Rabiya Ansari, was the true embodiment of the saying, “A mother’s lap is a child’s first school” — “Aaghosh-e-maadar bachche ki pehli school hoti hai.” She was a simple, pure-hearted, and deeply innocent woman. At times, she had a quick temper, which reflected the many hardships she silently carried within herself. She was married to my father at the tender age of twelve—an age when most children are still discovering the world. Life was often unexpected and unfair to her, yet her thirst for knowledge never faded. Despite the limitations placed upon her, she had a deep love for education. After marriage, at my father’s home, she taught herself Arabic and Urdu, determined to learn despite all odds. She came from a small and humble village, while my father, Ansari Mohammed Yaqub, was a city-bred man from Nashik, belonging to a well-educated and culturally refined family. Entering such an environment, my mother made sincere efforts to learn everything—not out of pressure, but out of curiosity, dedication, and self-respect. She mastered countless skills: cooking with love, stitching with precision, and hand embroidery with patience and grace. Most importantly, she never stopped learning until her last breath. Her hunger for growth and self-improvement was lifelong. My mother also ran an Arabic madrasa, where she not only taught with compassion but also financially supported her students. She encouraged regular attendance by giving them money—an act that was rare and deeply generous, rooted in her kindness and foresight. She was my greatest inspiration. Watching her learn, struggle, and grow taught me that education is not bound by age, circumstances, or gender. Because of her, I continue to learn even today—carrying her legacy forward, one lesson at a time..
Father & Inspiration
My father’s name was Mohammed Yaqub Ansari. He was a very simple man, yet highly educated. He valued knowledge deeply and believed in teaching from an early age. I was hardly four years old when my father personally taught me numbers and multiplication tables. His patience and care while teaching me left a lasting impression on my life. He was an incredibly caring person. Whenever my brothers or sisters went anywhere, he would eagerly wait for their return, anxious until we reached home safely. His love for his family was evident in everything he did. Along with his caring nature, he had a wonderful sense of humor. Even today, my elder brother still talks about his jokes, remembering how he could make everyone around him laugh so effortlessly. I was just eleven years old when he passed away 😔. Losing him at such a young age left a void in my life that can never be filled. Yet, the lessons he taught me, his kindness, and his laughter continue to guide me every day. I often think of him and wish I could spend even a single day learning more from his wisdom. His memory remains a source of strength and inspiration for our entire family...
Teacher & Mentor
Nigar Sultana, lovingly known as Nigar Aapa, is not only my teacher but also my mentor, guiding me in every possible way with her wisdom and support. She is a retired BMC Headmistress and is known for her exceptional dedication, hardworking nature, deep religious values, and kind-hearted generosity. For her, teaching is not merely a profession—it is her true passion and the central purpose of her life. Even at the age of 69, she continues to devote her time and energy to educating others, reaching out wherever she senses a lack of learning or an opportunity to make a meaningful difference. Her commitment extends beyond the classroom, as she manages a large madrasa, providing education both offline and online, ensuring that knowledge reaches as many students as possible. Her life is a testament to perseverance, service, and the transformative power of education.
Brother & Father Figure
Ansari Altaf Ahmed is my father-figure. My father passed away when I was only 12 years old, and from that moment onward, my brother supported me in every possible manner. He has been my constant guide and strength throughout my life. He is a highly motivational person who always encourages and inspires me. He is extremely hardworking, deeply supportive, and dependable in every situation. He is not just my brother; he is my father, my mentor, and my strongest support system. Because of his guidance, motivation, and unwavering support, I have been able to achieve many of my goals in life..
Husband & Pillar of Support
My husband Abdul Samad Khan, and he truly does not require any introduction — “Bas naam hi kaafi hai.” We got married at a very early age. I was 18 years old, and Mr. Khan was 23. At that time, I was only 12th pass and very eager to get married — “mujhe shaadi ka bahut shauk tha,” and my mother was also a little too eager, so we got married . However, within just three months of marriage, I realized that my level of education was very low, and with this qualification, I would not be able to get a job. I understood the importance of education for my future. Initially, Mr. Khan refused, saying there should be no job and no further education. But then I approached my Baba, my father-in-law. Not only did he give me permission, but he also scolded my husband for refusing. After that, I took admission to a regular college and completed my B.A., then B.Ed., and finally LLB. Throughout my educational journey, Mr. Khan supported me in every possible way. He helped me during my examinations and personally picked me up and dropped me whenever I attended college. Whatever education I have achieved today is because of his support, cooperation, and silent sacrifices .
BHMS & Educator
Dr. Parveen Mirza Khan holds a BHMS degree. She is my daughter-in-law and Mohammad Kawish Khan's wife. She has a very loving nature. She practiced homeopathy, but right now she is working with Avion International School as a teacher. She loves to teach, and finally, she has achieved her goal. She truly has a passion for nurturing and educating young minds..
BDS | Cancer Research Specialist
Dr. Shagufta Ansari Khan holds a BDS degree. She completed her doctorate from St. George's Hospital, Mumbai. Dr. Shagufta Ansari Khan is my daughter-in-law, and Mohammad Danish Khan is her husband. She has played a very important part in the Al-Shifa Trust Clinic. She is very hardworking and knowledgeable. After the lockdown, she has been working with Vasta InfoTech, a Cancer Research UK-based company. She was born and brought up in Malegaon. She tried very hard to get this position.
Minority Welfare & Finance Advisor
My greatest supporter and helping hand is Nasrullah Khan. He works with the Maulana Azad Minorities Financial Development Corporation Ltd. at its Head Office, Old Custom House. We all call him Khan Sir. In 2007, some of my colleagues took admission for their sons and daughters in BDS, MBBS, and Engineering degree colleges in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and outside Mumbai, in both government and private institutions, where the fees were ₹2.5 lakh and above. It was very difficult for them to pay such high fees from their meagre income. I learned from newspapers that the Government of Maharashtra had set up a corporation for minority students and individuals to provide education and business loans. The corporation provided education and business loans at an interest rate of only 3% to 6% per annum to needy and low-income candidates. All the parents applied for loans for their sons and daughters. It is generally very difficult to get approvals from government departments, but Khan Sir helped all the people whom I recommended. He submitted their loan proposals to the higher authorities for consideration. After receiving the sanction letters, they completed all the legal formalities and successfully availed the loans from MAMFDC. I am very thankful to MAMFDC for providing educational loans to all the candidates whom I recommended..
Global Scholar & Career Guide
Mr. Mubarak Kapdi Sir is a highly respected scholar, career guide, and social reformer who has been serving students and society for more than 45 years. He is recognized worldwide for his guidance, which extends beyond career advice to include parenting and personal development. His lectures are always interesting, informative, and motivational, often providing real-life examples that inspire students and parents alike. Sir has personally helped me immensely with my children’s studies and in finding scholarships. Despite his vast knowledge and influence, he has never charged a single penny for his guidance, and he continues to serve selflessly. His lectures are conducted at global levels, and every Sunday, he publishes insightful prose on current topics that are not only engaging but also extremely helpful for students and parents. Truly, Mubarak Sir is a remarkable educator, motivator, and guide who has dedicated his life to nurturing minds and shaping futures.
Inspiration & Life Mentor
ACP Marhoom Shamsher Khan Pathan Sahab was a dear family friend. My elder brother and Nigar Aapa were his classmates in Nashik, Maharashtra, which is also our native place. I have always been greatly inspired by him. Pathan Sir was humble, generous, down-to-earth, and always willing to help others. He had a wonderful sense of humor, unlike anyone I have ever met. He helped me during one of the most difficult periods of my life. By profession, I am a teacher, and I had studied through the Urdu medium. Unfortunately, there were very few Urdu medium schools, so I was unable to find a teaching job in private schools. In 1997, the government had also stopped recruiting new teachers. Pathan Sir tried tirelessly to help me secure a teaching position, even though many trained and experienced teachers were jobless at the time. Finally, he spoke to Mr. Sajid Rashid, the renowned journalist and Chief Editor of Urdu Times, who was planning to start his own newspaper, Mahanagar Akhbar. After an interview, Sajid Sir appointed me as a co-editor in his newspaper, and that moment marked the beginning of a golden phase in my life..
"Alhamdulillah for everything which God given to me."
